Top talent in Salou
The world championships have brought some real talent over to Salou, Spain. That being Olympic talent.
The young guns, who came to compete in the Raceboard class will have a chance to match themselves up with the likes of Joao Rodrguez, Ivan Pastor, Tuuli Petaja and Blanca Manchon.
With these sailors and many other top athletes from around the world onsite there is no telling who is the favourite for the title. It’s sure to be an exciting rivalry and we can’t wait for the action to start.
Today was registration day however and a more chilled atmosphere prevailed. Over 80 sailors have already singed up for the event, but with a few sailors still to come, late registration is still possible tomorrow morning.
As the weather is beautiful with 25*C, sun and wind ranging from 15 to 20 knots everybody is looking forward to racing tomorrow. Separate starts for men and women are planned and with planning conditions the day could start with three back to back races. All in the hands of the race committee, who will inform the sailors of their intentions in the morning during the skippers meeting.
Throughout the event we will be posting any relevant information we have on the event website. Check out our live section for updates - http://worlds2017.raceboard.org/live and our facebook page for videos and photos from Patrik Pollak - https://www.facebook.com/RaceboardClass/
